Proposed Safe Parking Program
A Safe Parking program is proposed for the St. John’s Presbyterian Church parking lot at National Blvd. and Military Ave. To give our neighbors an opportunity to learn more about the program and voice their opinions, the WVHA held a Zoom Town Hall meeting on Saturday afternoon, February 6, 2021. More than 150 Westside Village residents plus representatives from Safe Parking LA, St. John’s Church, and L.A. Councilmember Koretz’s office attended. All comments will be taken into consideration by the Church and the City.
The Town Hall meeting provided a forum for a very fruitful and productive discussion. Westside Village is a compassionate community that wants to help, but another location may work better for this program. Alternatives are being explored. We will keep you apprised as we hear more from the Church, Safe Parking LA, or Councilmember Koretz’s office.
